Holiday Winter Hockey Jam

The Tampa Warriors had another busy weekend to close out the year. The inaugural Holiday Winter Hockey Jam was played and the Warriors submitted both an upper and a lower team to the Lightning ran tournament. The lower team played some tough competition but showed tremendous growth as the tournament went on. Their final game was their best thanks to an impressive third period where Josh Hurst netted his first ever goal and the team almost pulled off a comeback for the ages. The upper team won their first game before losing two straight to a strong Heroes and Surge team, but because of a tie breaker they still managed to squeak into the finals, where they once again lost to team Surge. While our Warriors didn’t come away with as many wins as they wanted to, it ended up being a great team building experience thanks to the families, friends, and volunteers that showed up and enjoyed a fun weekend of barbecuing and party games.
