Ray Rush led the Tampa Warriors to a championship at the 2021 Lone Star Classic this past weekend in Allen, Texas only allowing four goals all weekend. It was a great weekend of competitive hockey against the Minnesota, Dallas, Avalance, and Utah Warrior teams. The Warriors played very well as a team resulting in 10 separate players scoring goals. "You really can't ask for better team play. Everyone contributed whether they made the scoresheet or not. The best part was that we were referred to as 'class acts' by opposing teams" says Ryan Patrick, the Executive Director of the Tampa Warriors. The Warriors outscored their opponents 31-4 including a 8-3 victory over the Utah Warriors in the championship game on Sunday afternoon.

The Tampa Warriors will be donating the $250 they earned to a local Tampa Bay charity. "We are looking forward for a repeat in Nashville at the Army Services Hockey Association (ASHA) tournament in May."
