This season I reached outside of my comfort zone and have been getting out to play for other teams and at other rinks in the area. I would say, overall my biggest accomplishment is that, in the short time I have been playing I have gone from learning the basics to being a steady player in the upper leagues that I thought I would never be able to play in.

Looking for the connection and brotherhood that I had while in the military is what drew me to the program. From there I was able to see the good that the team has been doing in the community. Between the mission of the team and the bond that is shared, I found myself enjoying spending more and more time with the team and more time helping grow the community.

Hockey has given me the outlet that I need. A place where I can leave the world behind and just focus on something that I love. Something that takes my mind to a place where I am at peace. A place where I can let out my frustrations and celebrate small or large victories. Somewhere that when I am done, my mind is clean and spirit is recharged.

The most fulfilling part of being a Tampa Warrior is seeing new members getting on the ice and giving it their all. Those who have never played before and those who are just getting back into it all the same. Seeing the collective team building them up and pushing them to do great things on and off the ice.
